Body of Missing American College Student Found in Kyoto Mountains

James 'Weston' Higginbotham, a 20-year-old American college student and outdoors enthusiast, went missing in Kyoto on May 29 after being last seen approaching a hiking trail east of downtown after sunset. Japanese police and volunteers conducted a search in the surrounding mountains. His body was subsequently found, concluding the search that had begun roughly one week after he was last seen by his family.
