Survey shows record share of young people in Japan don’t want child-rearing responsibilities, with women opting out at higher rates than men

A new survey finds a record percentage of young people in Japan say they do not want the responsibility of raising children. For the first time since the survey began, the number of women saying no to having offspring surpasses the number of men.
