Official Pokemon Trading Card Game AI Agent Competition Launches with Matsuo Lab, Google, and NVIDIA Support

An official competition challenging participants to develop AI agents capable of playing the Pokemon Trading Card Game has launched, co-hosted by the Matsuo Institute and supported by Google and NVIDIA. On the very first day of the contest, a meta-breaking deck built around Iwapalace — already proven effective in real competitive play — emerged among the AI competitors, demonstrating that proven human strategies are being translated into AI gameplay from the outset.
