Ainu Group Sues Japan’s Government to Repatriate Human Remains Held at a State-Run Memorial

Human remains taken from Hokkaido graves by university researchers more than a century ago are currently kept in a state-run memorial. An Ainu group has filed Japan’s first lawsuit seeking their repatriation.
