Japanese Red Army Member Okamoto Kōzō Dies in Lebanon

Okamoto Kōzō, one of three Japanese citizens who carried out the 1972 Lod Airport Massacre that killed 24 people, has died in Lebanon. His death concludes a 55-year chapter in the history of the Japanese Red Army, a far-left militant organization whose members became infamous faces on wanted posters distributed throughout Japan.
