Honda Kazuo Helped Turn Shimokitazawa Into Tokyo’s “Theater Town” With Suzunari and Honda Theaters

Actor-turned-entrepreneur Honda Kazuo is credited with shaping Shimokitazawa into Tokyo’s “theater town.” In 1981 he opened the Suzunari Theater, and a year later the Honda Theater, and today eight Honda Group theaters are within walking distance of the station.
