Japan Raises Business Manager Visa Capital Requirement, Cutting Applications by 96%

Japan’s Ministry of Justice increased the capital requirement for its Business Manager visa from 5 million yen to 30 million yen. The ministry says monthly applications dropped from an average of 1,700 to about 70, a 96% decrease.
