Japan’s Smoking Rates Have Plummeted Since 1966, Now Affecting About a Quarter of Men and 8% of Women

An overview notes that in 1966 about 83% of men in Japan smoked, but the habit has since declined sharply. Today, only around a quarter of men smoke and about 8% of women smoke.
