Japan MLIT Finalizes First Guidelines for Bathroom Equity to Expand Women’s Public Restrooms

Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) has finalized its first guidelines aimed at bathroom equity. The ministry says public facilities should include more women’s toilets than men’s to reduce long waits and improve access.
