Tsurikichi Sanpei

Mihira Sanpei is a down-to-earth cheerful boy, who is gifted with a genius in fishing. What he lacks in experience is covered by his first-rate sense in fishing. He lives in the mountainous regions of Akita prefecture where natural environment creates a challenge for fishing itself. He faces numerous challenges and participates in various competitions, under the guidance of his grandfather Ippei Sanpei, a master fishing rod maker. Along the way, he encounters all kinds of rivals and companions who increase his experience and help him grow.
